Network Engineer/Consultant
This position is responsible for all aspects of assigned Microsoft networking projects, including: designing network specifications with clients and our sales staff, installing and configuring software on network servers and workstations, providing training, and providing on-going client service and support. Training and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Server is required. Experience with Windows NT Server is helpful. Experience with all Microsoft workstation operating systems is required, including: Windows XP Professional, 2000 Professional, NT Workstation, Me, 98 and 95. Training and hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, tape backup software, network-based antivirus solutions, firewalls and remote access (VPNs and RAS) are also required. Experience with Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server (2000 and 2003) is strongly desired. MCSE 2000 or MCSE 2003 certification is desired. We will consider an applicant with MCSA who will soon earn MCSE. MCSE for Windows NT platform is helpful. Prior consulting experience is a strong plus, and training/teaching experience is very helpful.The ideal candidate will have the above technical skills, a professional manner, excellent communication skills, and 5+ years of hands-on experience with the implementation and support of a variety of Microsoft networks for small and mid-size businesses.Local car travel in the Ventura & Santa Barbara County area is required. Sales Representative/Consultant
This position is responsible for all aspects of the sales process, including: prospecting, designing PC networking and IT solutions with prospective clients and our technical staff, preparing proposals, reviewing proposals with prospective clients, closing sales, scheduling assignments, and follow-up. Knowledge and experience in the following technical areas is required: Working with PCs, the Windows operating systems, application software products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), file sharing, printer sharing, Internet access, email, remote access, tape backups and antivirus software. Training and/or hands-on experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, Proxy/ISA Server, remote access (RAS, VPN, OWA), is strongly desired. Microsoft certification is a strong plus. Three-plus years of proven experience and results in prospecting, generating sales leads, developing networking solutions for prospective clients, moving prospective clients through the sales process, and closing sales is required. The ideal candidate will have the above technical and sales skills, a professional manner, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, be energetic, hard working, and be comfortable working on several projects/tasks at the same time. Prior experience in a consulting environment is very helpful. Local car travel in the Ventura & Santa Barbara County area is required. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation.
